  • Engaging our local community - Giving back to our community through ad hoc programmes such as school sponsorship and engaging with other local businesses to promote education.

  • Caring for our environment - Responsible sourcing of materials from like minded suppliers and using materials which are kind to the environment and produced in a sustainable way. We also recognise that we have a responsibility to protect our environment by using materials in our process which have the lowest environmental impact and to capture any waste for correct disposal through licensed professionals.

We have several permanent initiatives to help reduce our environmental impact. One of which is providing regular donations for the planting of trees and the protection of habitats. This is conducted through reputable organisations such as the National Trust.

To provide substance to our words, we employ the services of the following companies. We believe that independent auditing, assessment and transparency, are crucial to give our customers, suppliers and stakeholders the confidence, that we’re a responsible company in all areas of our operations.

Carbon Footprinting Ltd undertake our annual carbon footprinting assessment to provide us with the data we use to set targets for carbon reduction.

We made the decision to join the Ecovadis community as a means to drive focus on our core beliefs around Social, Environmental and Governance. It also acts as a benchmark for us to compare our progress against likeminded companies.

Sedex is the platform we use to publish our various audit reports. This provides transparency with our customers and suppliers alike.

99% of our board material is sourced from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) managed forests. Promoting the use of sustainably sourced materials.

CSR is an umbrella term which we use to demonstrate our commitment to being the best company that we can be. It encompasses all of our highest level objectives and beliefs in how we should operate as a responsible business on a daily basis. These can be summarised as follows:-

  • Corporate governance - Operating within the law and implementing policies which ensure the company operates in a consistent manner from top to bottom. We have procedures in place such as Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption which are included in our employee handbook to communicate to everyone employed by Zenith as to how the company expects its employees to conduct business with its customers and suppliers.

  • Employee welfare - Listening to our employees and taking on board their thoughts and suggestions of where we can help on a personal level and areas in which we can improve. To provide a safe working environment by reducing, controlling and monitoring risks. We also practise diversity and equality.

Education and investing in our employees is one of our core beliefs. We regularly provide training from external parties to help employees in their job role and provide access to government programme to ensure everyone has at least passed their Key Skills as set out by the Welsh Assembly Government.
